Black & McDonald Expands its BOMA BEST Portfolio

Black & McDonald Limited is excited to announce that both buildings on our campus in Kansas City, Missouri, have earned BOMA Bronze certification. The BOMA BEST program, offered through the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA), focuses on assessing energy and environmental performance for existing buildings, measuring factors such as energy and water consumption, waste reduction systems, emissions and effluents, indoor environment and environmental management systems.

The two newly Bronze-certified sites, located at 5901 and 6001 Front Street, are both mixed-use office/warehouse spaces, measuring 25,000 square feet and 40,000 square feet, respectively. In addition to meeting all BOMA Best Practices in environmental management, the 6001 Front Street facility also includes a rooftop PV installation, with a 25KW peak capacity, and an electric vehicle charging station to provide power to the electric vehicles in our B&M fleet.

Our Kansas City sites join our facility at 31 Pullman Court in Scarborough, Ontario, in achieving BOMA Bronze certification. In keeping with Black & McDonald’s commitment to proactively adopt environmentally friendly practices across our facilities and operations, we look forward to continuing to build our BOMA BEST Portfolio in the months and years ahead.
