Black & McDonald Acquires Pierre Brossard (1981) Ltée, Expanding Operations in Quebec

Black & McDonald is pleased to announce a new venture into the Quebec utilities market through the acquisition of Pierre Brossard (1981) Ltée. The acquisition marks the integration of two family-owned companies, with many shared values and cultural affinities. Through combining operational expertise and skills under the leadership of Black & McDonald’s Quebec Region, the two companies consolidate their respective positions in the regional market, to the benefit of both organizations.

An established brand in the Quebec market, Pierre Brossard (1981) Ltée will continue to operate under its own trademark, with President Bernard Brossard continuing to guide the company’s day-to-day operations. The acquisition allows Black & McDonald to diversify its service offering in Quebec and provide utilities services to the region comparable to those offered by the company across Canada and the United States.

Speaking about the acquisition, Quebec Regional V.P. Jean-François Berthiaume stated, "we are confident that this transaction will have a positive impact not only on both companies, but on their employees, customers, suppliers and business partners." Black & McDonald welcomes Pierre Brossard Ltée to the family of Black & McDonald companies and looks forward to working side-by-side toward sustained success in Quebec.
