Black & McDonald provides new construction, renovations and maintenance services to universities, colleges, public and private schools across the nation. We work in partnership with the learning institutions, providing major support for their needs while remaining transparent. The extensive health, safety and environmental training received by Black & McDonald trades people provides an advantage that reduces risks on sites for students, staff, the public and education service providers.

	Carleton University Ottawa, ON For the university's Environmental Laboratories Biology Annex (ELBA) centre, Black & McDonald was responsible for the building mechanical systems and laboratory process piping and ventilation systems. During the project they were also awarded the relocation of an existing cooling tower to another building on campus. All the work was completed within a very tight schedule.
	Carleton University – Athletics Complex Ottawa, ON At Carleton University, Black & McDonald is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the Athletic Complex which includes: the Field House, Fitness Centre (including a Pool), the Alumni Hall, the Sports Centre and the Ice House (a 2-pad arena). In addition to preventive maintenance and emergency services, services include janitorial, inventory management and purchasing. Owner: Carleton University
	Halton School Board Burlington, ON Black & McDonald installed six replacement rooftop multizone units ranging from 20 tons to 40 tons. It was important for this project to be completed prior to school commencing which allowed us a two-week window, from delivery to commissioning. Owner: Halton School Board
	Sudbury Neutrino Observatory Sudbury, ON For this world class facility, Black & McDonald provides operations and maintenance, electrical mechanical and essential services including janitorial services, snow removal, landscaping, elevators etc. They further co-coordinate the Client's work requests and control the facilities' inventory and purchasing requirements. Owner: Carleton University
	Toronto French School Toronto, ON Black & McDonald provides facilities management and operations services for the school includes 6 buildings, 275,000 square feet, spanning 30 acres. Responsibilities cover management of all on-site maintenance staff, building cleaning, security, snow removal, field and pool maintenance, waste management and landscaping. 	Vancouver Community College Vancouver, BC At the Pender Street location, Black & McDonald installed new washrooms and relocated some existing fixtures. HVAC upgrades were also provided complete with new and relocated ductwork and upgrades to the existing DDC system. Owner: Vancouver Community College Engineer: VEL Engineering
