Cami Automotive Inc. — Wastewater Treatment Plant.

This project was completed by Roberts Onsite, a wholly owned subsidiary of Black & McDonald, in conjunction with the OEM, and consisted of an extensive upgrade of the on-site waste water treatment plant. Roberts Onsite was responsible for all electrical and mechanical upgrades.

The electrical group supplied and installed a new feeder, a new MCC, and Delta V control system; ran conduit and wire to support various mixers, system pumps, level controls, and all associated devices; and added heat tracing and site lighting. The system would be monitored by fiber optics which our communications group installed, tested, and certified.

The mechanical group was responsible for all support piping from the two new 35’ diameter affluent process tanks and ran stainless steel and schedule 80 carbon pipe to various mixers, system pumps, level controls, knife gate valves and the chemical injection system.

The upgrade of the existing system was completed with 90% of the work being done while maintaining plant production, greatly minimizing shutdown time and installation costs.

Toyota Motor Manufacturing of Canada — ET Deck Installation

Roberts Onsite, a wholly owned subsidiary of Black & McDonald, was hired to install two overhead decks that would allow a future conveyor to be installed from PT-ED to E-Coat and a future buffer conveyor for E-Coat.

This job required extensive hour by hour job safety analysis in conjunction with our detailed work plan. The installation of the platforms was completed during off-hours on various weekends due to the main access way being in continuous use in this plant. The project was completed on time, without incident, and to the customer’s satisfaction.

Toyota Motor Manufacturing of Canada — IMM and Material Handling System

TEMA (Toyota’s Engineering Group) contracted Roberts Onsite - a wholly owned subsidiary of Black & McDonald - to install a newly designed state of the art Injection Molding Machine (IMM) and material delivery system. Prior to delivery of equipment, Roberts Onsite installed all electrical and piping requirements such as power, communication, compressed air and water as well as the conveyance piping for the Conair material handling system.

This project required a design build component for the operations platforms that would accommodate all the customers’ needs. Roberts Onsite designed, fabricated, and assembled all steel for multiple level platforms and stairs.  This project was completed under a strict quality and safety assurance program with hourly job safety analyses. The majority of this project was completed during regular hours in the plastics shop.  All work was scheduled and performed without interruption to the customer’s process.
