1st Period Apprentice earns 40% of the Journeyman Base Rate
2nd Period Apprentice earns 50% of the Journeyman Base Rate
3rd Period Apprentice earns 60% of the Journeyman Base Rate
4th Period Apprentice earns 70% of the Journeyman Base Rate
5th Period Apprentice earns 80% of the Journeyman Base Rate
Example
If a Jouneyman Base Rate is $28.00 per hour:
a 1st Period Apprentice would earn $11.20
a 2nd Period Apprentice would earn $14.00
a 3rd Period Apprentice would earn $16.80
a 4th Period Apprentice would earn $19.60
a 5th Period Apprentice would earn $22.40
Plus Vacation
pay, health plans, a pension plan, benefits and opportunities to
work extra hours to earn time and one half or double time.
