Established in 1921, Black & McDonald Limited is a privately held Canadian contracting company operating across Canada, the United States and in selected global markets.

The company provides a full range of electrical, mechanical, utility, and maintenance services to commercial, industrial, institutional, and government markets.

Black & McDonald is registered and licensed to do business in all territories and provinces, operating twenty offices from coast to coast in Canada, with over 3,000 employees. Our United States customers are served from four locations, Kansas City, Salt Lake City, Detroit and Austin. In 2006, the Black & McDonald Group of companies had a sales volume of over $500 million CDN.

Through subsidiary and affiliate companies, Black & McDonald also offers:

• Engineering, project management, construction and maintenance services or offshore oil and gas facilities through AMEC Black & McDonald.
• Industrial instrumentation, calibration, contracting and repair services are provided by Land & Sea Instrumentation Ltd. to customers in Atlantic Canada.
• Valve maintenance, valve repair and testing and valve management services are provided by Land & Sea Valve Services Group to customers in Atlantic Canada.
• ICBM Services Limited provides HVAC maintenance services to customers in Saskatchewan.
• Canadian Base Operators Inc. - Military Base Facilities, Maintenance and Operations
• Design, installation, and maintenance of street lighting systems for municipalities in the United States through CLS.
• U.S. contracting operations through Black & McDonald Inc.
• HVAC maintenance and repair services in the province of Saskatchewan through ICBM Mechanical Services.
• Mechanical construction and fabrication in the Province of Saskatchewan through Inter-City Mechanical.
• Refinery and petrochemical plant maintenance and modifications in the Province of Quebec through National (2005).
